Lecture: struggling with open data in public transport

welcome to open data wonderland

In this talk I will share some insights, joy and difficulties of open data within the public transport organisations in German speaking countries. Since this is a free software and open source conference, there will be a speacial feature at the end of the talk.

It sounds so easy -- open data. Just put the data on the server and tell people (how) to use it. Still some public transport organisations seem to have troubles giving "their" data "away". What can be done with timetable and other public transport data can be seen on the net: From visualisation to routing with free and open source software. But what are the show-stoppers? Together we might find out.
