Tobias Baldauf is a web performance evangelist, performance solutions architect and passionate consultant at Akamai Technologies. He created open source web performance measurement tools, ISO certified interfaces for European train operations as well as an innovative JPEG compressor. He gives talks on web performance, image saliency mapping and front end engineering at conferences such as O'Reilly Velocity Conf, WebPerfDays and many others. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his baby girl, going hiking, making music in an Irish Folk band and organizing the Cologne Web Performance Meetup.
